The Office for Climate Education (OCE) and VVOB – education for development have launched an international call for projects for TeachersCOP 2026. The initiative highlights practical climate change education projects and gives teachers and other education actors the opportunity to present their work to an international audience.
As a partner in the Horizon Europe project SoilTribes, iFOS is pleased to share this opportunity with educators and initiatives working at the intersection of soil health, climate action and sustainable land use.
Who can apply?
The call is open to primary, secondary and vocational teachers, teacher educators, school leaders, inspectors, education authorities and other actors involved in climate change education worldwide. Eligible projects must already have started and explicitly contribute to climate change adaptation, mitigation or both.
Relevant topics include agriculture and land use, water, biodiversity and ecosystems, climate justice, sustainable lifestyles, curriculum development and teacher training.
TeachersCOP 2026
Up to eight selected projects will be presented during TeachersCOP 2026, taking place on November 14, 2026, in the context of COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye. One or several winning projects may also receive a €500 grant to strengthen or scale up their initiative.
Applications can be submitted in English, French, Spanish or Turkish until September 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM CET.
